Fire!  Be on the safe side.

Fire is a disaster for everyone. And most often it occurs because many do not follow elementary security rules. A wrong behavior during a fire contributes to its further spread.

The reasons for them are almost always the same – dilapidated communications, faulty electrical wiring, smoking in unauthorized places and unattended electrical appliances.
No one is immune from the fire. Study this instruction so that you do not panic in an emergency and save yourself and others.


Actions in case of fire in the building:

1. If you see only the beginning fire, try to extinguish it with a fire extinguisher or other improved means: cover with a thick blanket, fill it with sand, fill it with water. But never extinguish the burning wiring and devices connected to the mains. This is extremely dangerous.

2. Call the fire brigade or ask someone to do it for you.

3. If you understand that you can not cope with the fire, leave the premises urgently. Try to get people out of the building or at least warn them about the fire.

Do not risk yourself because of valuables and other property.

4. Choose the safest way of evacuation. Do not use elevators during a fire. Get down only on the stairs.

5. If a fire catches you up in a school, hospital, university or other public building, on the walls, you will most likely be able to find an evacuation plan. If necessary, use it.

Close the doors tightly, and cover any slots and openings with any cloth to avoid further penetration of the smoke. Return crawling to the depth of the room and take measures to save;

sit down and take a deep breath, open the window and try to call for help;

if you are not able to open the window, break the window glass with a solid object and pay attention to people who can call the fire brigade;

if you get out through the doors, close them and crawl to the exit from the room;

always close all the doors behind you;

note that during the fire it is forbidden to use elevators;

if you are in a high-rise building, do not run down through the fire, but take the opportunity to be saved on the roof of the building!
