If you decide to open a business in Vietnam, one of the first questions that will need to be resolved is to find and rent the office that suits you. In Vietnam, there are options for almost any taste – from low-budget options for a legal address and a virtual office to much more expensive options for standard offices and full-service offices.

There are two main types of offices in Vietnam

  • Full-service offices

Full-service offices are ready-to-use, fully furnished office spaces in Vietnam, which can be an ideal option for small businesses looking for the office space at a low starting price, flexible lease terms, and a prestigious business address. They are suitable for companies from 1 to 10 people.

  • Standard offices

Renting a standard office in Vietnam usually involves renting an empty office space, which you will need to equip yourself with furniture, IT infrastructure, lighting, hire staff, and etc. The option is suitable for companies with a large number of staff, or those who wish to rent and arrange an office in their own unique style.

Active development is underway in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, modern office centers and shopping complexes are being built. At the end of 2011, the total office space in Hanoi reached 1.2 million square meters. In Ho Chi Minh City the construction was even more active.

The cost of renting office space in Hanoi ranges from € 17 to € 61 per square meter per month. The rental of space in new shopping centers starts at € 56 per square meter. At the same time, since November 2009, it is prohibited by law to use apartments as offices, which forces companies to rent more expensive premises in office centers. The cost of land in the country depends on the area.

According to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Vietnam, the most expensive land in Ho Chi Minh City costs about € 4,000 per square meter. At the same time, according to the legislation of the country, it is public property. According to the development plan, by 2020 about 200 thousand square meters of office and retail space will appear in Ho Chi Minh City in the new modern office centers.
