December has come, which means that officially you can start preparing for Christmas. To fully experience the most magical time, you need to create the right atmosphere around you. Here are some ideas for decorating your home for Christmas:
- Christmas tree
This is the main attribute of the Christmas holidays, which means that it is worth approaching the choice of Christmas decorations with all responsibility. Decorators today recommend not stint on the number of toys, but use them to the maximum so that the tree looks festive. Use satin ribbons together with Christmas toys – the tree will look more magnificent and interesting.
- Christmas wreath
It symbolizes comfort and warmth. And it’s not necessary that the wreath should decorate only the front door – it can be hung on a window, simply on a wall or even above a dining table. Wreaths can be bought ready-made or to be made with your own hands. For this, the simplest things are suitable – spruce branches, cones, Christmas toys, and glitter.
- Fireplace
For many, a fireplace remains a symbol of comfort. So, its decor should be just soft and pleasant. Typically, a mantelpiece is decorated with a lush spruce branch, toys, and garlands. And, of course, do not forget about the wonderful tradition of hanging Christmas socks on the fireplace.
If you do not want to overload the fireplace portal with unnecessary decor, bet on illumination. And be sure to add a few candles to a beautiful garland – there are never too many of them.
- Shelves and coffee tables
You can put unused Christmas toys in a transparent vase, arrange candles inside a fir wreath or make a composition of several vases. If there are children in your house, put beautiful advent calendars on the chest of drawers or the console – you will definitely feel the Christmas spirit with them.
- Table setting
Instead of setting the table with dishes with a Christmas pattern, decorators recommend taking plates with a plain one – it is easier to mix with textiles and other pieces of decor. In addition to the tablecloth, lay a festive runner on the table and provide napkins for each guest in the same style.
- Windows and walls
For windows decor, it is ideal to use Christmas light decorations: garlands, candlesticks, and Christmas plot compositions – they will look bright and festive even from the outside.
